So, for the last few years, Ive been making the journey to Baxter to enjoy the wilderness. Bear Brook -3 sites (#1,#2,#3) each hold 14 people; Foster Field- (3 sites) #1 holds 12 people, site #2 holds 13 people, and site #3 holds 25 people; Nesowadnehunk Field- (3 sites) #1,#2,#3 all hold 16 people.

But the other paths (all easy to moderate, as theyre a bit rocky and rooty but mainly flat) are also great both for the remote ponds they lead you to and also for the views they provide of mountains looming over water.

You also share a path where many campers would walk to get to the back of the library for PFDs and paddles.

**Must stay the night before either at Russell Pond, Pogy Pond, Chimney Pond, Wassataquoik Stream, Wassataquoik Lake, Wass Lake Island or Little Wassataquoik Lake.
